About Us
The group has been in operation since 1992 and our Constitution was adopted at our first Annual General Meeting held on 23rd July 1993.
We opened the Community Centre in November 1994 with Grant Aid from North Tyneside Council.
We became a registered Charity in April 1995. Charity Number 1045843.
In November 1995 we received an Award of £40,446.00 from the National Lotteries Charity Board for three years revenue costs.
In March 1999 we received an award for £38,283.00 for a further three years running costs.
The Objectives of M.P.C.G. are:
- To promote the benefits of the inhabitants of the areas of benefit by associating together inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary sector and other organisations to advance education and leisure time occupation.
- To establish a community centre.
- To gain a cleaner safer environment through building up partnerships with the Local Authourity (North Tyneside Council), Police and any other agencies who can assist us in providing a better quality of life for all residents within the area of benefit according to our Constitution.
