Indoor Bowls

This group started up under the guidance of Willie Henderson, a local man, and runs on a Monday evening between 6.30 and 8.00pm and is open to everyone.

At the present time there are 14 - 16 members with a good mix of ladies and gentlemen in the age range 50 - 75 years, with both able bodied and disabled players bowling side by side.

No experience is needed to play this game: It is intended to be a fun evening, even while learning to play.

Willie Henderson is an experienced bowler who plays at both Local and County level, and it is his ambition to get a youth team set up to play alongside the older age group.

We are always looking for new members. However, at present, membership has reached our maximum capacity and anyone wanting to join will have there name put on a waiting list for when a space becomes available. Anyone who is still interested can contact the centre to be put on the list. The evening costs just 50p per person and includes tea or coffee.

This group received the money for equipment through a grant from North Tyneside S.R.B Safer Community Bid.

Please Note: At present, membership has reached our maximum capacity and anyone wanting to join will have there name put on a waiting list for when a space becomes available.
