Computers and The Internet
Every Monday between 1pm and 3pm & 7.00pm and 8.30pm and Thursday between 10am and 12pm, we hold informal sessions where members of the local community are invited to drop in and learn something new about computers or the internet. Even if you have never used a computer before, all you need to bring with you is a willingness to give it a go.
Our sessions can cover the basics in everything from simple navigation in Windows, through to the use of word processing, spreadsheet and database software, and of course how to surf the Internet. We'll try to teach you whatever it is you want to know. You can start wherever you feel comfortable, continue at your own pace, and stop whenever you feel you've learned what you want. You are in charge of how much you cover, and at what pace you cover it.
The drop-in sessions are run by volunteers, so the atmosphere is very informal - just right for those who feel the usual college environment isn't for them.
Courses are free, and you will be made welcome whatever your ability. What have you got to lose? Please call to check availability of places. We look forward to seeing you.

So... You're not Einstein?
We don't expect you to be!
Why not come along and surprise yourself!
Moor Park Community Group are pleased to have the support of BT Community Connections in the shape of an Internet-ready PC and one years Internet connection to help us help our local community.
Sessions are held between 1.00pm and 3.00pm on Wednesdays, with Betty Craig as caller, and are well attended, particularly by the elderly residents from Phoenix Court sheltered housing complex, as it gives them the chance to mix with other residents who live on the Estate.
New members are always made welcome and are encouraged to join other user group sessions held in the Centre. This group enjoy being included in all the organised outings arranged by Mrs Craig and other Volunteers and have been to East Hartford Community Centre and Gilsland where they enjoyed a meal and afterwards joined in the entertainment.
