Line Dancing
The line Dancing on a Wednesday evening between 7.00pm - 9.00pm with our enthusiastic dance instructor continues to go from strength to strength, and new members are always assured of a warm welcome. The weekly mixture of fun and laughter, together with the dancing, ensures the continuing success of this group. Typical class sizes usually number somewhere in the region of approximately twenty people.
As well as their weekly sessions, the group have enjoyed organizing outings, especially to other line dancing events around the North East and a weekend trip to a massive line-dancing event in Blackpool.
The group often hold social evenings to raise funding: These social evenings have between 60 - 70 people from mixed age groups attending. The residents from Phoenix Court have become regular visitors. These sessions are as much about fun and enjoyment by socialising as they are about learning line dancing, and again the older residents from Phoenix Court often join in the dancing.
