Ladies Keep Fit

The Keep fit held on Friday afternoon between 1.00pm and 3.00pm. Joan Holmes, who was introduced to the group by Margaret Chambers from North Tyneside Council, runs the session.

Joan is a very highly qualified instructor with a City & Guilds 730 teaching certificate and has a great sense of humour.

The age's of the ladies who attend this session range from 30 to 75 years, and some of the ladies have health problems for which Joan adapts the exercises to suit their needs. Each person is encouraged to do no more than they feel they can manage, and they do their exercises to taped music.

Although they take their keep fit very seriously there is a very friendly atmosphere, a lot of laughter goes on within this group during the session.

Thanks to the Meadowell Health Centre we have the use of some stepping machines to add interest to the sessions, which the older members have managed to use under Joann's supervision.

Come along to our Friday afternoon sessions between 1.00pm and 3.00pm. and join our instructor Joan and the ladies. This session is both fun and beneficial to all able bodied and disabled, young and not so young.
