Kiddywinkles Pre School Mothers and Toddler's Group
Mums and Grandmothers run the Kiddiwinkles Group on a Tuesday afternoon between 1.00pm and 3.00pm. There are between 10 and 12 children at present however, these numbers tend to fluctuate from time to time as the children reach Nursery age. New members are always welcome.
The children get involved in Arts & Crafts making calendars and cards as well as playing with toys. This group raised some funding and together with £300.00 from the Tyne & Wear Foundation bought a soft play package complete with protective floor mats.
They have recently received £500.00 funding through North Tyneside Early Years Development & Childcare Partnership to purchase outdoor play equipment.
The group's contact with New York Primary School Nursery continues, the Nursery use the Centre as a substitute venue for events such as their Meningitis Munch fundraising day which has become an annual event. The children love it as they have lots of room for dancing, they also appreciate having the volunteers as an audience to perform to.
