Moor Park and OUIT (The Open University IT Learning Centre Network)
Moor Park Community Group is now working in partnership with The Open University as an Open University IT Learning Centre Network (OUIT) to provide facilities for OU students who wish to study in their local community.
We can provide tea / coffee and soft drinks at reasonable cost and we also have a confectionary tuck shop which sells biscuits and crisps. There are also shops in the adjacent precinct which sell hot meals and sandwiches.
The facilities we provide are:
Four networked Pentium III PC's running Windows 98 with Office 2000 available. All are attached to the Printer and the Internet, and one machine has a scanner attached.
Dial-up access Internet Access and a Cannon colour printer - printing charge to cover costs of ink / paper: 10p per A4 page.
It is possible for your OU course software and First Class Client to be loaded onto our computers to meet your requirements as per licence restrictions. Students are responsible for the safety of their own work, passwords, etc. but we do provide CD-ROM and floppy disk access.
OU student access times:
9.30am - 3.00pm Mon & Thur
5.00pm - 7.30pm Mon eve
9.30am - 12.00pm Tues & Fri
Sorry: No OU student access Wed, Sat or Sun.
